Nattokinase Powder Dosing Compared: FU Per Scoop

Nattokinase dosing, compared

Nattokinase is dosed by activity, in fibrinolytic units (FU). How a powder delivers that activity matters as much as the number on the label: a dose you can't measure accurately is a dose you can't rely on.

Typical bulk nattokinase powder

~100 mg per dose

About 1/32 of a teaspoon. Labels tell you to weigh it on a milligram scale, and no scoop is included.

AMLApure nattokinase

A full scoop per dose

2,000 FU in every scoop of our 2K formulas, and 10,000 FU in one 1,000 mg scoop of our 10K powder. No scale, no fraction of a scoop.

Why fractional dosing is a problem

High-concentration nattokinase raw material often runs around 20,000 FU per gram. Sold as-is, a 2,000 FU dose weighs only about 100 mg. That is too little to measure reliably with a kitchen spoon, and a small measuring error becomes a large dosing error: 50 mg too much or too little is a 50% change in the dose.

AMLApure formulates the other way around. Each powder is blended so the full dose fills a full scoop, and because the nattokinase is blended in a fixed proportion with the other ingredients, every scoop carries the same activity.

What to look for in any nattokinase powder

FU, not just milligrams

Milligrams tell you weight. FU tells you measured enzyme activity. What does FU mean?

A dose you can measure

If the label asks for 100 mg, ask yourself how you will measure 100 mg every day without a milligram scale.

FU per serving, stated clearly

The label should tell you exactly how much activity is in each scoop or serving, not only per gram.

Frequently asked questions

Is a 20,000 FU powder stronger than AMLApure?

Per gram, yes. Per dose, not necessarily. A 20,000 FU per gram powder dosed at 100 mg delivers about 2,000 FU, the same activity as one AMLApure 2K scoop. The difference is how easy it is to measure that dose correctly every day.

Why not just sell a smaller scoop?

Scoops that hold around 100 mg are tiny, and powder packs differently each time, so the amount still varies. Blending the full dose into a full 1,000 mg scoop keeps measuring simple and consistent.

Which AMLApure nattokinase is right for me?

The Blue Label and 10K powders are focused nattokinase formulas. The AMLA, bergamot and Enterinex™ formulas combine nattokinase with other botanical ingredients. Talk with your healthcare professional about the amount that suits you.

Is nattokinase safe for everyone?

No. Nattokinase may increase bleeding risk, particularly with anticoagulant or antiplatelet medications. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before use if you take these medications, have a bleeding disorder, or are preparing for surgery or dental work. Not intended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical guidance.
